No bake snickers slice 🥜
They’re quick, they’re easy and they tend to be a bit healthier than baked treats. These “snickers” squares are the perfect chocolately peanut treat, we are obsessed 🤩
Ingredients:
For the base:
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup @unicornsuperfoods caramel slice protein powder
- 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 4 tbsp unsweetened oat milk
Caramel layer:
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups vegan milk chocolate / dark chocolate
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- Handful of peanuts
Method:
- Line a 8x8 baking tin with parchment paper.
- To make the base, add the oat flour and protein powder to a bowl. Mix to combine. Add the peanut butter, maple syrup and oat milk. Once combined, press the base into the prepared baking tin. Make sure it’s a smooth even layer.
- Make the caramel layer by adding the smooth peanut butter, maple syrup, melted coconut oil (melt the coconut oil in a mug in the microwave for 40 seconds) and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the caramel onto the base layer.
- Place the baking tin in the freezer for 1 hour to allow the caramel to set.
- Add the chocolate and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 35 second bursts, stirring in between until completely melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate on top of the caramel layer. Quickly add the peanuts on top of the chocolate as the chocolate will begin to set.
- Place the baking tin back into the freezer for 1 hour.
- Once set, cut the bars as small or as big as you like.
